The details and the quality of the pieces are everything. I’m still eyeing a few pieces on the app. ⁣ ⁣ Rule of thumb for this collection⁣ 1. Try it on ⁣ ⁣ 2. Don‘t pay attention to the sizes. Wear what fits your body type and style. ⁣ *Most of the pieces I’m wearing are a XS or S. Jeans I sized up two sizes, wearing a 8. ⁣Pants I’m wearing a 4. ⁣ 3.     PART 1 - Rooting for Black women ⁣ ⁣ On Sunday PART 1 - Rooting for Black women ⁣ ⁣ On Sunday, like many of the girls I showed up early to my local Target to shop the new @kahlanabarfield x #futurecollective collection. My big sis @sharondairving and I had our game plan. Try on our scouted pieces to ensure proper sizing/fit, purchase, and leave. Unfortunately, most of the collection was still packed in boxes and the display wasn’t even set up. A lot of “us” were upset and disappointed. ⁣ ⁣ Then, a young black female employee (college student) was randomly assigned the task to set up the collection. Myself and few supporters @heatherhburris @sharondairving jumped right in to help her. We had no design scope but watched Kahlana’s Reels for inspiration. We become the unofficial Visual Merchandiser Team for the collection 🤣. I even dressed a whole mannequin. The best part is the manager thought Target sent a team to help since she was short staffed. God knew ! ⁣ ⁣ As much as I love shopping at Target, this moment was bigger than that. It’s about support. This was for my fellow HBCU grad and Soror @kahlanabarfeild . This place is a winery, distillery, and brewery. There’s shareable snacks and a on site food truck (different one each time). It’s kid, dog, and family friendly. Also, live music! Overall, I can’t wait to visit again.     Things that have kept my cup full #photodump⁣ ⁣ 1. I love making my Vanilla Chai Lattes at home. I’m always satisfied.⁣ ⁣ 2. Alone time with God just talking to him because nothing is making sense right now lol. ⁣ ⁣ 3. @maverickcitymuisc “Promises” is my grounding song.
